History is all around us

Via Manzoni is where many histories have begun... This was the road to get to Via Emilia, to St. Peter's church, to piazza Maggiore, here the remnanats of an ancient roman temple can be found, side by side with the first selenite circle of city wals. Here you can find the rests of the imperial castle that Bolognese people destroyed to give birth to the authonomous Comune. The stree is home to many fine historical palaces, as Casa and tower Conoscenti, Palazzo Ghisilardi, Palazzo Fava, Oratorio di San Filippo Neri and the Church of Madonna di Galliera, and many of them are now hosts to fabulous museums.
